XPS 8900 Will Not Boot Up With First Power On
EDIT: Darn, I was beaten. Hit escape and it took me to the black screen with options to chose ‘start normally', ‘start in last known config' or ‘start in safety mode'….chose ‘start normally' and it immediately LarryG, we crossed posts... The first time I had no clue and took it to my local Best Buy at Geek Squad and they fiddled around with wires inside (without majorly disconnecting anything, literally just If you have other questions regarding your Dell power button lights, be sure and join our free forums and ask. The only ones I have here are the 20 pin connections, can I somehow hook those up to the 24 connection just to test?

It worked! AND the PSU. Tried Dell support -nada-replace. Could be the motherboard's VRM is giving out, could be the PSU itself, could even be the CMOS battery is going bad.

Thought oh sh$t I've stuffed it and found this little gem. I don't know).You seem to be comfortable going into the box and if you can find the contact points to the power supply you can test across those points with a Dell Xps 8900 Wont Turn On But today I booted it up and for 10 seconds it started up as usual then it just stopped.
