m 0 l jaguarskx a c 1297 D Laptop January 20, 2014 7:18:53 PM Technically, you can upgrade it since there is a option for a 1080p screen on a Y510p The biggest thing you have to look out for is if Lenovo is cheaping out by using a single-channel LVDS cable instead of a dual-channel LVDS cable for the 1366x768 display. That means that those monitors can ONLY accept a 2560x1440 (1440p) input signal over their typically one input connector (dual-link DVI). Check This Out I would think at least one of those would have it figured out by now.
But otherwise, I'd stick with 1080p / 1200p. The connector size should be fine. Haven't tried the Intel HD4600 at 4k, but my guess (based on some google searches) is that it probably supports it.
